This year, the Christian mission in Petropavlovsk, Russia, is celebrating a special event – its 35th anniversary. Much has changed in the world and in the life of the city over these years. But one thing remains constant: the faithfulness of God and the power of the Gospel, effective through the ministry of this mission.
It began with a small group of believers who took a leap into the unknown, with the goal of supporting people and showing them the way to eternal life.

Mission development
It was a time when many things were difficult: a lack of resources, clear structures, and support. Yet there was a firm foundation – the living faith in our Lord Jesus Christ and the confidence that He would complete the good work He had begun. These first steps, taken in prayer, formed the solid foundation for future ministry.
From the very beginning, it was of great importance that the mission in Petropavlovsk did not operate in isolation. A partnership was established with the Stephanus Mission in Germany. Thanks to the support of this mission, it was possible to begin the work, to help those in need, to provide the necessary resources, and to place the ministry on a solid foundation. This partnership has been a great blessing, bearing much fruit.
Over the years, this work has not only grown but has also gained in importance for the entire city. It has become a center of mercy, a place where people seeking help, comfort, support, and words of hope can come. The sacrifice we make in distributing aid and the attention these people receive as a result are often not just material support, but an act of evangelism, demonstrating God's love to the world.

Spiritual progress through the actions of mission
The greatest joy lies in the many life stories that have been transformed through the ministry of the mission. For many, the mission has become a spiritual home. Here, new souls have been born for the Kingdom of God. People have found reconciliation with God, received peace, and a new life. Many who initially only sought help have found Jesus Christ here. Worship services are held in which the Word of God is proclaimed and the name of our Lord is praised. Everyone can encounter the living God.
Today, the mission and the church continue to grow. They are developing, bringing the light of the Gospel to the world, and remaining a place of hope. The believers gratefully remember those who started it all and praise God for every servant, supporter, intercessor, and co-worker in the Lord's work. Special thanks go to our partners and friends in Germany who have been faithful co-workers in God's Kingdom for many years. And we believe: Just as the Lord has been faithful for the past 35 years, He will be so in the future. The mission will proclaim the Good News until the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. "He who calls you is faithful; he will do it." (1 Thessalonians 5:24)
May this anniversary not only be an occasion for reflection, but also an inspiration for new ministries, new prayers, and new victories in the name of Jesus. To God be all glory!
