It's currently the rainy season in India, and mud is everywhere. As a result, the huts where people live are leaky and wet. Many of them were employed as day laborers, but they lost their jobs due to the coronavirus crisis. There is no government support, so every day many people come to the school for the blind asking for help.
Because the school for the blind is located near the Chinese border, the situation there is particularly tense, and everyone is on high alert due to the coronavirus. However, it is precisely this helplessness that makes people receptive, and they listen attentively when stories about Jesus are told. They now see for themselves that their gods cannot help them, and we pray for them, that they may find faith in God.
Unfortunately, I'm currently unable to fly there myself. I've been home for a very long time and can't wait to help the people there. I miss them and the community immensely.
