We are located in the heart of northern Uganda, a region that goes far beyond what one typically sees in pictures of Uganda. Here, far removed from the hustle and bustle of the capital, Kampala, we ministered to refugees, particularly pastors from South Sudan. The aim of our mission was to support local pastors through Bible seminars and pastoral training.

The mission focuses on refugee camps – in places like Bidi Bidi, Adjumani, and Arua, which are among the largest refugee camps in the world. The pastors from South Sudan are courageous men and women who have endured unspeakable suffering. They have witnessed conflict and persecution, were forced to leave their homes, and now seek safety and hope in the refugee camps of Uganda.

What does it mean to serve God amidst such circumstances? These pastors face enormous challenges. They must cope with their own grief and loss while simultaneously leading and supporting their congregations spiritually. It's not just the material needs that are immense here, but also the need for spiritual strengthening and clarity in their faith.

Through Bible seminars and pastoral training, we offer these pastors not only the Word of God, but also practical support and instruction. The goal is to help them build a strong spiritual foundation that can sustain them through these difficult times. The challenges in the camps are complex. There is a mix of different cultures and denominations, which often leads to misunderstandings and conflicts.

Our task is to help pastors promote peace and unity in diverse communities. They need a clear understanding of biblical teachings to lead their congregations through these times of uncertainty and change. Our work here is a living testimony to the importance of not only teaching the gospel, but ensuring it is understood and lived out in a way that is relevant and life-changing for people in these camps. It is work that requires patience, dedication, and above all, love.

Approximately 4000 Bibles were purchased for the refugees and prepared for distribution.

We ask you to continue praying for these pastors and their congregations. Your prayers and support are crucial in helping these people living in such circumstances. Donations enable us to continue traveling to these remote areas and providing these wonderful people with the help they so desperately need. Let us work together to ensure that the light of the Gospel shines in these dark corners and that those who have lost so much can find hope and comfort in their faith.
