Discovering creation
Reading is important for many areas of brain development. It promotes vocabulary and creativity and broadens one's horizons. Educational magazines are particularly well-suited for the latter. However, reading standard children's and teenagers' magazines can be problematic. They are often influenced by current trends and cover topics that do more harm than good. The wonders of nature are attributed to evolution as a matter of course; there is no mention of a wise creator.
The magazine "bioteeny" from the Christian publishing house KLB represents a unique exception in the German-speaking world. Its guiding verse reveals the ultimate target audience for every report and every image: " Great are the works of the Lord, worthy of study by all who delight in them " (Psalm 111:2). A new issue is published every two months, featuring engaging and richly illustrated articles on topics such as humanity, nature, culture, and technology. Puzzles and experiments round out the offerings. Those still undecided can order a free sample copy to explore the magazine (at klb-verlag.de).
To all parents looking for wholesome reading material for their children, I can wholeheartedly recommend bioteeny. Here, no expense is spared to magnify God through His nature for children, using exciting reports and impressive images.
