What is God like? A.W. Tozer explains in the very first chapter of this book that, due to a hidden law of the soul, people tend to strive to conform to their own personal, inner image of God. This means: how you imagine God and how you think about him is how you live. Therefore, a correct understanding of God is so important—not only for the individual Christian, but also for the church, Tozer writes. In this way, and in even greater detail, the reader is strongly encouraged to seriously examine their own conception of God. So, what do you think about God? Have you ever actively considered what God is like, what attributes he has, and how these should affect your practical faith life? This book is an excellent starting point for engaging anew with the greatest of all topics: God.

In short chapters, Tozer, grounded in biblical scholarship and written with reverent worship, gradually illuminates the most important attributes of God. And if someone asks me which book, besides the Bible, is my favorite, I would immediately point to Tozer's "The Nature of God." Persistent contemplation of God and His attributes, which transforms into awe-filled worship of the Most High, is a spiritual practice that holds a wealth of blessings. This book helps you discover this for yourself.
