There are truths that can change our entire lives. This book presents the reader with such important and sobering facts: that we only have one life, that the lifespan in which we can truly work actively for our Lord is short, and that afterward comes eternity, in which we will bring before the Lord what we have gathered here.
These great, fundamental truths have already completely transformed the lives of many people. MacDonald describes it this way: “They were seized by the compelling power of the truth. The hearts and minds of these people were set ablaze. They were completely changed. They gained an eye for new paths and made history in the kingdom of God.” Through many examples, this book shows that one's golden youth is the best time to begin a ministry for the Lord. In doing so, MacDonald impressively portrays the lives of devoted men of God who, even at a young age, were giants in the kingdom of God.
Young people in particular are addressed and encouraged not to live for the moment, but to accumulate for eternity and not to stop at mere good intentions. Those young at heart who are not yet in the service of the Lord, as well as youth workers, will also find much inspiration here. "Think of Your Future" is not a dry, thematic treatise, but an invitation to a meaningful life that challenges the reader to a decisive response with compelling arguments.
