The book is both challenging and edifying. The author himself describes it in the foreword as having a "powerful, decidedly edifying character." He also outlines the purpose he pursues with this book in the foreword: "The individual chapters of this little book, with their simple content, are intended to serve believers, those struggling, the weary, and the discouraged in some way with the light with which the Lord has always served me in my eventful and multifaceted ministry."
I can personally attest that this purpose has been fulfilled, at least in my case.
