Samuel and Eva Kellinger as missionaries in Uganda
God answers prayers! For several years we have been praying that our heavenly Father would move a God-fearing brother to serve on the mission field in Uganda.
Brother Samuel Kellinger from the Irslingen congregation, along with his wife Eva, has decided to serve God in a mission. They want to go together to a country where they can completely dedicate their lives to our Heavenly Father. After much prayer, God has opened the door to Uganda for them.

Samuel and Eva Kellinger
In January 2022, the young couple traveled to Uganda with their young son. There, they oversaw the Stephanus Project. Together with a pastor, Samuel visited families in their homes, prayed and sang with them, and shared spiritual nourishment. Samuel also dedicated himself to youth ministry. During this time, he regularly visited Christian schools and colleges, encouraging the children, praying with them, and sharing his faith in God. Furthermore, a youth group now meets every Sunday with the young people from the village.
More and more unconverted young people are drawn to youth group meetings. By working with these young people, who mostly come from broken homes or dire circumstances, they feel loved and respected. They also receive instruction in fundamental spiritual topics.
While Samuel was out and about in the Ugandan village all day, his wife Eva cared for injured children and managed the household at the Stephanus Home. Since a doctor's visit or hospital stay is simply far too expensive, the children there have to live with their injuries and pain day after day. Eva trained as a medical assistant in Germany and was therefore able to treat the children.
Since it is not so easy to stay in Uganda for an extended period of time on the first trip, the young family traveled back to Germany in May 2022.
But for the Kellingers, it was clear that their ministry in Uganda was not yet over. We are grateful to God that we can say He has sent a brother who has been, is, and wants to continue working in the mission field in Uganda with great enthusiasm and energy. The church and the parents support this small family and their decision to help the people of Uganda out of love for our Heavenly Father. For this reason, Samuel Kellinger and his wife Eva will be sent to Uganda by Mission Stephanus. In August 2022, the family will move to the country for two years, where they will share more and more about God with the people and oversee our project on the ground.
We know it won't be an easy path, which makes us all the more joyful to say: God has answered our prayers and sent another worker to his mission field. Now, as a church, we have the opportunity to do something good and support Samuel and his young family financially. Since an extended stay in Uganda can be very expensive, the family would be very grateful for a donation. The Kellinger family is also very thankful to all brothers and sisters for their prayerful support.
“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few,” Jesus said to his disciples. “Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest” (Matthew 9:37-38).
In the end, we can say that God hears the prayers of His children; to Him alone belongs the glory and praise for everything.
