The biblical account of the earth's creation as God's work is largely dismissed as impossible by today's society. Science has seemingly revealed different findings. This can unsettle many Christians and lead them to compromise the truth of God's word.
This book examines the statements of God's Word on a scientific basis. In particular, the biblical creation account is related to current scientific findings and compared with archaeological discoveries. Presented in this proper light, creation, the flood, and other biblical accounts can certainly stand as plausible explanations in our world today.
Many questions that some people have asked themselves or been asked are explored in depth and answered thoroughly. "What happened to the dinosaurs?" "Were there really ice ages?" "How did so many animals fit into the ark?" Even more complex topics like C14 dating for determining age are not omitted.
The authors are predominantly scientists and experts in their respective fields. Their explanations and arguments are written in an understandable and straightforward manner. Those wishing to delve deeper will find numerous references to scientific sources in the footnotes. While the book certainly cannot answer every question, it provides a solid foundation for reflecting on the hope within us and remaining steadfast. Scientific interest and a basic understanding are advantageous, but not required.
