Fourteen years in prison cannot rob Richard Wurmbrand of his love for his master.
Today we encounter few Christians of this caliber. Our lives often revolve solely around ourselves. This book describes people who are willing to die for their faith and confess their Lord even under the most severe torture. What is even more astonishing is that these people are able to love their tormentors and pray for them despite terrible suffering. They bestow a smile of heaven upon people in the most horrific circumstances. A young woman is arrested on her wedding day for evangelizing and subsequently imprisoned for five years. Yet she kisses her necklaces and calls them her bridal jewelry. She is capable of love despite the terrible hatred of her persecutors and of being a light to people on their path to eternity. This book repeatedly poses the question: What are you willing to sacrifice for your Lord?
When you read this book, you will never remain indifferent. It will undoubtedly challenge and renew your faith and devotion to Jesus.
