The coronavirus crisis shook many people and greatly impacted the lives of many. But in times of crisis, those who already have little are hit the hardest.
In Germany, we have a fairly good social safety net that catches many people. God deserves thanks for that. But in many countries around the world, unfortunately, the situation is not the same, and many people depend on the help of others.
Due to requests, we wanted to provide particular support to Christians in Muslim countries, as many were finding it remarkably difficult to find employment. Muslims are generally unwilling to hire Christians unless they convert to Islam. Through our assistance, we were able to enable some to provide for their families independently, even during the crisis, and thus secure their livelihoods beyond the pandemic.
The country was under lockdown during the crisis. However, businesses with delivery services were allowed to deliver their goods and thus continue operating. Through God's grace, we were able to purchase ten scooters or small motorcycles, enabling the business owners to continue earning money for themselves and their families.
In addition, we purchased three large photocopiers so that believers could copy Christian literature and Bible texts for themselves and share them with one another. This wasn't possible for them in Muslim-run copy shops. Furthermore, the machines enabled them to open their own copy shop, creating an additional source of income.
Furthermore, the scooters are used to distribute Bibles and Christian literature among church members, as a public taxi is too dangerous for transport.
The communities thank God and all those who organized the aid from the bottom of their hearts. A special thank you also goes to those whose donations enabled the purchase and delivery of the aid.
