Even in the Holy Land there are people who are addicted, homeless, or in other difficult life situations. By God's grace, we are able to reach them with the Good News.
This work has been carried out for several years by employees of the aid organization Chasara-Lechaim (Return to Life), based in Ashkelon.
The Aviv Center in Tel Aviv is visited several times a week by members of the Christian community from Ashkelon. Most are former addicts, such as Genadi with Ludmila, Leonid Pusanowski, and Ilya Abraben, but others also attend. The center provides hot meals, medical and spiritual assistance, and offers pastoral care and prayer to those seeking help.

There are always people who are willing to go to the rehabilitation center. There they receive further care. The word of God and the work of the Holy Spirit set them free, so that they can begin a new life with God and become members of the church. Some of them have already started their own families.
On October 7, 2023, with the Hamas attack, a time of fear and despair began for many people. Rocket fragments also hit our house, but thankfully no one was hurt. During this time, God opened new doors for proclaiming the Gospel. We distributed food packages to people sheltering in bunkers and preached the Gospel to them.
Visiting the family of the former rehabilitation patient
A new rehabilitation center opened in Jerusalem in January of this year. The community in Ashdod sent a missionary family to Jerusalem to work there: Leonid and Nadeshda Pusanowski with their daughter Eva. Three people have already been admitted for rehabilitation. Thank God for that.
On May 17th, some brothers and sisters from Germany and Russia joined us to visit the house in Jerusalem. It was a great joy for the local brothers and sisters, and for us as well.
Our special concern and prayer to God is that he may inspire and win over many more people to support the service of Israel.
