The book with the extraordinary title "Take the silence into time", written by Heinrich Peters and Heinrich Töws, describes the path to communion with God using the Tabernacle as an example.

God reveals the secrets of his heart to his faithful servant Moses. In many hours of personal fellowship, God shows Moses how he should lead others into this fellowship with him. He builds a tabernacle—a place of encounter between God and humankind. In a very concrete way, as if giving an initiation, he leads people step by step into the inner space where they can encounter their God as a friend.

The authors expertly and engagingly explain the meaning of many different objects in the Tabernacle and apply this meaning to our present day. For example, a basin symbolizes not only the cleansing of the body, but also the complete consecration of a person to the Lord. Encountering God is much more than quiet time, a brief prayer, or a few minutes with the Bible. The Tabernacle, the place of encounter with God, is full of symbols for our spiritual life. The objects that Moses saw inside the Tabernacle on his way to meet God also have a message for our lives today. This knowledge challenges us to put what we have learned into practice. This book has significantly enriched my knowledge of the Bible and my understanding of God.
