It all began in the winter of 2006 when I learned one evening that two homeless people had frozen to death in Romania. I had two unused rooms that could house homeless people. With minimal effort, I could also provide them with daily meals. I immediately realized that God wanted me to do this. This thought moved my heart. It is an extraordinary ministry to care for four or five elderly, homeless people. There was only one problem—money. I had no money.

But God assured me that He would provide financial resources if I began this ministry. So I began my work with the certainty that God is the most important partner in this endeavor. Twelve years have passed since then. God has wonderfully provided for us throughout this time. Today, we care for approximately 400 homeless people who have no family and have been abandoned by their relatives. They come from all walks of life; some are without any identity, others have committed crimes. Some have had their legs amputated due to frostbite or rat bites. We also care for people with mental illnesses, disabilities, and other conditions (epileptics, schizophrenics, dementia, addictions, suicidal individuals, etc.). Many of these people are bedridden, and about 80 of them require diapers. They have all found a home with us.

When we began this work, our goal was to provide these people with better living conditions. Due to advanced age or illness, approximately 300 people have passed away over the years. It is amazing how God has cared for us all these years. He has never left us without food, clothing, firewood, or the supplies we needed. We live solely on donations. It is astonishing how varied the gifts we receive are. Some bring us food, others money, and still others laundry detergent, and so on. There are enormous costs for us, but not for God. Of the people we currently care for, only a small percentage receive a pension, and what they do is very minimal. I share this to emphasize God's boundless kindness, which sustains us with loving care.

I never asked anyone for donations, nor was I ever interested in doing so. My attitude is: God will handle financial matters. I have great respect for people who raise money for their projects, but in this case, God willed it differently. Of course, I don't do this work alone. Our team includes my family and 30 other people. Behind the scenes, there are probably hundreds of people who support the entire project. They donate money, food, and many other things, and they pray for us. These are people I don't know and have never met. For us, it's a privilege, a grace God has given us, to be able to do this work! It's a wonderful feeling to know that we are doing what God expects of us. Every day is a challenge. Every day we see and experience His miracles!
