This review does not merely aim to introduce a single book, but rather to recommend an entire library consisting of 13 book titles, packed with sermons by the well-known pastor Wilhelm Busch.

Wilhelm Busch (1897-1966) was a passionate preacher. He preached simply and vividly, yet also challengingly. During the Nazi era, his faith landed him in prison several times. Many of his sermons were written under precisely such difficult circumstances. Despite being forbidden to speak and facing persecution, his sermons were typed up by a group of young women and secretly distributed.

Each volume in this library addresses a core theme with sermons and commentaries on that topic. For example, volume 9, "Traces of the Cross," explores how the Old Testament points to the cross of Christ. If you were to ask me which book I would recommend most, I couldn't answer. Every book is equally captivating and has the power to inspire the reader with the Word of God and to magnify Jesus Christ.

The Wilhelm Busch Library, or even individual titles from it, should be on the bookshelf of anyone who values authentic, relatable, and biblically sound preaching. The library is also particularly suitable as a gift. Individual books from it can be used and passed on. This collection of valuable works by Pastor Wilhelm Busch has been out of print repeatedly, sometimes for years. That's why I recommend purchasing it while it's still regularly available from a publisher.
