On June 12, 2021, we broadcast an "online conference" via YouTube for the first time in the history of Mission Stephanus. Here is the background information:

The current situation, due to restrictions, does not allow us to organize large conferences and worship services. How we long to see all our brothers and sisters who pray with and for us. How we would love to share about God's work at our conferences or simply enjoy fellowship with one another. Unfortunately, this is not possible at the moment. The only information we can share about our numerous projects is through this magazine.

Multimedia development has grown very rapidly in the last two decades. Virtually everyone uses modern technology such as smartphones as alarm clocks, navigation systems, Bibles, telephones, cameras, music players, etc. And why not? It makes many things easier. At the same time, we know from experience that this same technology brings many challenges. In some cases, we even find that modern technology does more harm than good.

Personal:

A meeting in March 2018 with brothers from Mauritania, Libya, Iraq, and Togo gave me pause for thought. They spoke enthusiastically about how, after 600 years, they finally have the opportunity to bring the Gospel into every home. Thanks to modern technology, it is now possible (e.g., via YouTube) to preach the Gospel without fear of imprisonment or persecution. The brothers told of a devout Arab who preaches the Gospel in Arabic in a Westernized country. He then makes this video material available on YouTube. Our brothers can share these sermons without immediately fearing for their lives.

I was surprised by this positive view because I personally usually viewed these channels critically. This encounter with the brothers from the persecuted countries brought about a change of perspective. Of course, we can also use these channels for the Kingdom of God!

After some deliberation, and in consultation with the leading brothers of our brotherhood, we decided to organize our first online conference due to the current restrictions. Thankfully, with much diligence and effort, we were able to report on our work online in June 2021. However, the individual projects have so far had little opportunity to present their work. Therefore, in the fourth quarter of 2021, we would like to give individual project leaders the opportunity to report on their projects.

We have internally agreed to disable the comment function in the videos. However, if you have any suggestions or would like to give us feedback, please feel free to send us an email or contact us by phone. We hope that the reports, information, or church services we publish on YouTube will be beneficial and a blessing to everyone.

In our flood relief project, we also used YouTube as a purely informational channel. With God's help, we hope to deliver better audio and video quality in the future.

The certificates and reports on the individual projects had to be recorded and prepared.
